The Brief
robinsalliance is the architecture studio founded by David S. Robins, AIA. Its work covers commercial, public, educational, community and residential projects. The site had one job: let the photography of the built work carry the presentation.
What We Built
A custom portfolio site with a minimal, "iPod-style" menu in place of a standard navigation bar. The menu stays small and out of the way, so the visitor's attention stays on the images.
The portfolio is image-led throughout, with short films about the studio and its people alongside the project photography. It was built with PHP, jQuery, CSS3 and HTML5, and works best on a desktop screen, where the images have room.
