A custom WordPress site for Dr. Deck, a Los Angeles builder of high-end hardwood and composite decks, replacing an old site that was thin on content and hard to update.
The Brief
Yair's old site had almost no real content, was hard to navigate, and was a pain to update. He wanted a new site that showed the quality of his work, was easy for homeowners to find their way around, and that he could keep current without calling a developer every time.
What We Built
A custom WordPress theme built from scratch, no page builder. The homepage opens with large project photos and a short line about how the work gets done, then gets out of the way. The license number and phone number are at the top of every page, since that's the first thing a homeowner checks before calling a contractor.
The navigation is kept to what people actually look for: services, materials, past work, and areas served. Materials are split into decking and railing systems. There's an Areas We Serve page covering LA County, a project gallery, and a blog. Reviews on the homepage are short excerpts that link to the full review. Every page points to one action: book a free on-site estimate.
Everything runs through the WordPress admin, so Yair can add projects, reviews, and blog posts himself. Images are served as WebP so the photo-heavy pages still load fast.
